This could be a problem
| I just opened up my absentee ballot and Nader is on it but included in the envelope was a small piece of green paper with the following message:
IMPORTANT VOTER NOTICE Pursuant to directive 2004-37 issued on September 30, 2004, by the order of J. Kenneth Blackwell, Secretary of State of Ohio, please be advised that the candidacy of Ralph Nader and Peter Miguel Camejo for President and Vice President of the United States is not valid. Thus, votes cast for their candidacy will not be counted.
Given what happened in Florida during the 2000 election when all the candidates on the ballot were eligible it's no stretch to say that we could have a real mess if the election is close here in Ohio. |
