Thank you Mr. Kerry

To the chagrin of many Democrats hoping to get elected or re-elected one week from tonight John Kerry's back in the news.     This is being spinned as a joke gone awry about the President and his administration but even If(damn that's a big if) that is an honest answer it's too late. No amount of talking heads or campaign money is going to get that cat back in the bag even with the willing accomplices in the MSM. Personally, when I first heard it I took it as aimed at the troops and chances are so did thousands of others. I guess we're just not nuanced. I'm far from a political expert so I don't know how much, if any, impact this will have on the elections however I have a hope. I hope that this little sound bite from the enlightened Senator from Massachusetts takes pissed off conservatives contemplating sitting this out on a trip down memory fricken lane back to when the Democratic's selected this man to represent their party as their choice for President and they then collectivly ask themselves: do we really want to surrender the legislative branch to them? "It disgusts me that a bunch of these Republican hacks who have never worn the uniform of our country are willing to lie about those who did," He served in Vietnam you know but since I myself have never 'worn the uniform' I cannot, rightfully, attack him and neither can any of you that have not served. WTF? He attempted to hide behind his service in 04 and it failed--so he's trying it again? I'm not sure about the rest of you but I like to think that I learn from my failures not repeat them.
